What does the unity candle represent?

The unity candle is lit by the bride and groom from two separate family candles, representing the union of your families and the fact that you and your fiancé are creating a family of your own.

What is a sand ceremony at a wedding?

The “Blending of the Sands” ceremony can be a beautiful and meaningful alternative to the ” Unity Candle” ceremony. Like a Unity candle the pouring of two different colored sands together is used to symbolize the joining of the bride and groom or the joining of their families.

What is a wine ceremony at a wedding?

The bride and groom drink from a single glass of wine. This symbolizes drinking from the cup of life and sharing all of its experiences together, both bitter and sweet.
